Abstract
This scientific article comprehensively analyzes the linguistic nature of political discourse in the Uzbek language, its structural and functional characteristics, as well as the mechanisms for implementing manipulative strategies. Political speech is examined as a complex communicative phenomenon formed at the intersection of pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and discourse analysis within linguistics.
In the course of the research, official speeches, parliamentary addresses, political statements, and texts published in mass media were analyzed. The study identifies the persuasive potential of evaluative vocabulary, metaphorical units, modal constructions, collective identification devices, and semantic models based on opposition that are used in political discourse to influence the audience.
The findings demonstrate that Uzbek political discourse performs not only the function of conveying information but also the tasks of shaping public consciousness, strengthening ideological perspectives, and ensuring social cohesion. Manipulative strategies manifest themselves as mechanisms of indirect influence on public awareness through linguistic means. The results of the study contribute to a deeper linguistic understanding of political communication processes.
