THE ARTISTIC LANGUAGE IN NAVOI’S GHAZALS AND ITS DISTINCTIVE FEATURES

Abstract

This scientific article provides a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the artistic language and its distinctive features in the ghazals of Alisher Navoiy, the great representative of Uzbek classical literature, based on a linguopoetic approach.

The relevance of the study lies in the fact that although Navoi’s ghazals have frequently been examined from an ideological and thematic perspective, their system of artistic language still remains an important scientific issue requiring complex analysis from the standpoint of modern linguistics and linguopoetics. Navoi deserves special recognition as a poet who expanded the expressive potential of the Turkic language and refined it to meet the high standards of classical poetics.

In the course of the research, based on the texts of the ghazals, such devices as lexical selection, the synonymous layer, polysemy, metaphorical systems, symbolic imagery, and syntactic parallelism were identified, and their poetic functions were explained. The findings demonstrate that the artistic language of Navoi’s ghazals is characterized by aesthetic perfection, semantic depth, and stylistic individuality. The poet employed each linguistic unit as a meaning-generating device, transforming the ghazal into a linguistically refined poetic system.
