Abstract:
This study examines the formation and development of the history of pedagogical thought and the role of teacher professional skills in school practice. The history of pedagogical thought, beginning from ancient times, is reflected in the pedagogical views of Eastern and European thinkers, emphasizing issues of knowledge, morality, and education. Through this perspective, the importance of the teaching profession, pedagogical mastery, effective organization of lessons, and the teacher’s role in providing education and upbringing to students is highlighted. The study analyzes key components of pedagogical mastery, including professional knowledge, pedagogical abilities, communicative competence, pedagogical ethics, and creativity. In addition, the requirements placed on teachers in the modern education system and contemporary pedagogical approaches are discussed.
