Abstract
This article discusses the essence, importance, and role of initiative in pedagogical activity within the educational process. It analyzes the specific characteristics of an initiative-driven teacher’s professional practice, their use of modern educational technologies, and their role in encouraging student engagement. The article also examines how initiative contributes to increasing lesson effectiveness, developing students’ independent thinking, and fostering a creative approach. The findings show that teachers’ initiative is an important factor in improving the quality of education.
