Abstract
This article discusses the importance of modern assessment systems in education, their differences from traditional assessment approaches, and their role in improving the quality of education. It also analyzes formative and summative assessment methods, competency-based assessment systems, and the role of international assessment programs. The study emphasizes that modern assessment systems evaluate not only students’ knowledge but also their practical skills.
