Abstract

This article analyzes the process of studying the creative legacy of Alisher Navoi (1441–1501), the great representative of Uzbek classical literature, in the People's Republic of China. The article examines the historical roots of Uzbekistan–China cultural cooperation, Navoi studies–related events at Beijing International Studies University (BISU) and other Chinese higher education institutions, and the growing scholarly interest in Navoi's heritage within the context of the Great Silk Road. Taking into account that Navoi devoted significant attention to Chinese civilization in his works, the typological and historical connections between the two cultures are also discussed. Conclusions are drawn regarding the current state and development prospects of academic ties between the twocountries.
