Abstract

This article examines the experience and approaches to restoration of historical monuments in Uzbekistan. The paper highlights restoration activities in Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, international cooperation with UNESCO, modern restoration technologies and the role of cultural heritage in tourism development.
