Abstract
This article analyzes the role and significance of borrowed words in Uzbek linguistics. It highlights the enrichment of the Uzbek vocabulary through internal and external sources, with particular attention to the contribution of loanwords to language development. The study also examines common Turkic words, native Uzbek derivatives, and lexical units borrowed from Tajik, Arabic, Russian, and European languages. The article scientifically explains the historical, social, and cultural factors influencing the process of lexical borrowing in the Uzbek language.
