Abstract

This article comprehensively analyzes the development of the labor market, the formation of human capital, and its impact on the efficiency of the national economy. The study examines labor economics theories, modern global trends, the influence of the digital economy on labor relations, as well as the transformation of Uzbekistan’s labor market.

The article considers labor resources not only as a factor of production, but also as a strategic resource that determines the economic strength of a nation. Factors such as investment in human capital, labor productivity, employment levels, migration processes, and informal employment are analyzed in depth.

In addition, the mechanisms for regulating the labor market in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the directions of state policy, the vocational education system, and the process of transition to an innovative economy are scientifically discussed.

The research findings indicate that labor market efficiency is directly connected with the quality of human capital, the level of digital skills, and the institutional governance system.
