Abstract

The article analyzes the natural resources of the Fergana Valley and their use for tourism purposes. The valley is assessed as an integrated tourism area where mountain landscapes, river valleys, foothill villages, fertile oases, climatic and wellness resources, agro-landscapes, historical settlements and local crafts complement one another. The study shows that ecotourism, agrotourism, wellness tourism, mountain routes and educational excursions may become important tourism products in Fergana, Andijan and Namangan regions. Sustainable use of these resources requires transport accessibility, environmental protection, visitor-flow management and local community participation.
