Abstract
This article presents a comparative analysis of the semantic, stylistic, and pragmatic features of phraseological units expressing emotional–expressiveness in the English and Uzbek languages. The expression of emotional coloring within the phraseological layer of language is closely connected with national mentality, cultural values, and poetic thinking. On this basis, both the distinctive and common characteristics of emotional expressiveness in the two languages are identified.
