Abstract
This article discusses the pedagogical and psychological foundations of developing creative thinking in children with intellectual disabilities. It also analyzes the essence of creative thinking, methods of its formation, and innovative approaches used in special education. The importance of game technologies, artistic activities, didactic exercises, and interactive methods in developing the individual abilities of children with intellectual disabilities is highlighted. The study reveals that the development of creative thinking positively influences children’s independent thinking, speech development, and social adaptation.
