Abstract

The article analyzes the activities of the German Empire in African colonies between 1884 and 1919. Although Germany’s colonial presence was short-lived, its policies had a significant impact on the political, social, and cultural life of the regions. The study examines German colonies, forced labor, the Maji Maji Rebellion, the Herero and Nama genocide, land and resource appropriation, and the long-term consequences for former colonies based on historical facts and statistical data.
