Abstract

This thesis covers the main functions, types, and specific features of working with plotters (graph plotters). Plotters are peripheral computer devices designed for outputting information in the form of high-precision drawings, diagrams, and graphic images onto large-format paper, film, and other materials. The work provides a detailed analysis of plotter types based on their structural design and operating principles (pen, inkjet, laser, thermal, and cutting plotters). Furthermore, the main technical and software issues encountered when working with plotters (malfunctions in the ink system, waste ink tank counter overflow, incorrect material selection, format and width mismatches) are examined, and effective solutions for eliminating and preventing these problems are proposed. It is substantiated that regular technical maintenance, proper software configuration, and the use of high-quality consumables ensure long-term and high-quality operation of plotters. The thesis is intended for design engineers, architects, surveyors, advertising and design specialists, as well as students studying in this field.
