Abstract
This article analyzes the negative consequences of excessive dependence of youth on social networks and highlights effective ways to direct them toward reading culture. The role of books in developing critical thinking, speech culture, intellectual growth, and moral maturity is discussed. The paper also considers modern mechanisms for fostering love for books within families, educational institutions, and society.
