Abstract
This article considers technologies for creating simple chatbots and the possibilities of their application in the educational process. The role of chatbots in education, their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. The stages of designing educational chatbots based on artificial intelligence, technical implementation methods and pedagogical efficiency issues are covered in detail. The prospects of chatbots in the context of introducing digital technologies in the Uzbek education system are assessed.
