ISSUES OF EFFECTIVE USE OF BUS STOPS ON PASSENGER TRANSPORT ROUTES

Abstract

This thesis analyzes issues related to the effective use of bus stops on passenger transport routes. The duration of bus stops, the processes of boarding and alighting passengers, the entry and exit of buses at stops, and changes in passenger flow are considered as the main factors affecting the efficiency of the transportation process. Proposals are developed for classifying bus stops according to passenger demand, regulating service processes at high-demand stops, and facilitating the entry and exit of buses at stops. The study also substantiates the possibilities of ensuring the stability of bus operations by reducing excessive dwell times at stops.
