Abstract

This thesis examines the pedagogical and methodological aspects of the differential development of speed and agility qualities of physical education students through football exercises. Particular attention is paid to differentiating training loads by taking into account students’ initial physical fitness, individual movement capabilities, and differences in speed and agility indicators. The possibilities of targeted use of acceleration drills, short-distance sprints, sharp directional changes while running, slalom movements with and without the ball, relay races, and small-sided football games are analyzed. Within the framework of the differential approach, adapting exercise distance, number of repetitions, execution speed, rest intervals, and coordination complexity to students’ level of preparedness is identified as the main methodological mechanism. The thesis proposes organizing the development of speed and agility based on the sequence of initial assessment – differential grouping – selection of targeted football exercises – load individualization – pedagogical monitoring – correction. This approach is aimed at using football exercises as a means of purposefully developing speed and agility qualities while taking into account the individual capabilities of physical education students.
