Abstract

This thesis describes the treatment outcomes of 28 patients aged 13–15 years with pseudo-progenic occlusion using various orthodontic appliances. The patients were divided into two groups according to the appliances used: 15 patients were treated with a fixed Derichsweiler appliance for maxillary expansion and a Delaire facemask, while 13 patients received removable plates. Clinical, anthropometric, radiographic, and photometric examinations were performed before treatment and at its completion. Positive outcomes were recorded in 13 patients (86.7%) in the first group and 9 patients (69.2%) in the second group. The observed difference between the proportions was 17.4 percentage points. These descriptive findings do not establish a statistically significant superiority of one group over the other.
