Abstract
This article examines the psychological characteristics of adolescence as one of the most complex and significant stages of personality development. The adolescent period is characterized by intensive physiological, emotional, and social changes that significantly influence the formation of character, self-awareness, and the value system of an individual. Special attention is given to the development of thinking, emotional instability, the desire for independence, and the need for recognition from peers and adults. The article also analyzes the problems of communication between adolescents, parents, teachers, and society, as well as issues of self-esteem, conflict behavior, and adaptation to the social environment. The importance of support from family, school, and society in creating favorable conditions for the harmonious development of adolescents is emphasized. The study shows that understanding age-related psychological characteristics helps prevent deviant behavior, reduce anxiety levels, and ensure successful socialization of the individual.
