Problems of the Development of Museums and the Museum Network in Uzbekistan

Abstract

This article analyzes the institutional development and existing problems of the museum system in the Republic of Uzbekistan at the time of independence on the basis of a comprehensive scientific approach. the study covers the issues of public policy aimed at supporting the activities of museums, the formation of regulatory framework, the expansion of the network of museums, the creation of the State Museum of Timurid history and international cooperation of National Museums. At the same time, it is justified that a number of pressing problems with digitization, storage of funds and training of personnel are preserved.
