Abstract

This paper analyzes the issues related to enhancing the role of women in public administration, using the countries of Central Asia as examples. In particular, it examines state policies aimed at promoting gender equality in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, as well as women's participation in political and administrative processes and the institutional and legal reforms implemented in this field. The findings indicate that although women's participation in public administration has increased across the region, challenges remain regarding their representation in senior leadership positions, involvement in decision-making processes, and the persistence of gender stereotypes.
