Abstract
This thesis examines the concept of modern media discourse, its main types, and pragmatic features. Today, media serves not only as a means of conveying information but also plays a significant role in shaping public opinion. Therefore, the linguopragmatic study of media texts is of particular importance. The thesis considers the specific features of news, political, advertising, social media, and multimodal media discourse. It also analyzes pragmatic features such as speech acts, evaluation, modality, presupposition, implicature, and audience influence based on English and Uzbek media materials.
