Abstract
This thesis examines the artistic-poetic expression of the hakim (sage) figures in the epics comprising Alisher Navoiy’s "Khamsa". The study analyzes literary devices used in creating the images of hakims such as Suqrot (Socrates), Arastu (Aristotle), Aflotun (Plato), Buqrot (Hippocrates), Luqmoni Hakim, and Balinos – including talmeh (allusion), tashbeh (simile), istiora (metaphor), ruju’ (self-correction), husni ta’lil (artistic attribution), laff and nashr, as well as anachronism. Through expressions such as "Sahar Suqroti", "Kecha Luqmoni", "Filotunmanish", "Arastushukuh", the aesthetic function of the hakims’ names in the poetic text is demonstrated. The analysis proves that through these literary devices, the image of hakims transcends ordinary humanity and is transformed into a metaphorical symbol of absolute intellect, divine light, and eternal wisdom.
