Abstract
This article examines the pragmatic impact methods of headlines used in modern English and Uzbek media discourse, along with their theoretical and conceptual foundations. The study highlights the essence of media headlines as a linguistic and cognitive phenomenon, as well as theoretical models of strategies that influence reader perception. Furthermore, the pragmalinguistic principles of headline formulation in the mass media of English and Uzbek—languages belonging to different typological and cultural systems—are theoretically and comparatively substantiated.
