Abstract

The epidemiological dynamics of type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D), the age structure of patients, and territorial differences in the Fergana Region were assessed for the period 2017–2025. During a period in which the regional population increased by 16.3%, the number of registered patients with T1D increased by 39.6%, while the prevalence rate rose by 19.7%. The increase in the number of children and adolescents with T1D exceeded the growth observed in the overall number of registered patients. More than a sixfold difference in prevalence rates across districts indicates the need for regular territorial audits of diabetes registry completeness, timely diagnosis, and population coverage by diabetes care services.
