Abstract
The article presents the results of evaluating the grain vitreousness of durum wheat varieties and lines studied under laboratory conditions using grain samples obtained from the competitive variety trial conducted by the laboratory of genetics, selection and seed production of durum wheat. During the study, the level of grain vitreousness of the varieties and lines was determined, and differences among the varieties and lines were analyzed. Promising varieties and lines with high grain vitreousness were identified. It was noted that grain vitreousness is one of the important indicators characterizing the quality and technological properties of durum wheat grain.
