Abstract
This thesis examines the theoretical and methodological foundations for improving the economic efficiency of the textile industry. The study analyzes the concept of economic efficiency and its relationship with production costs, labor productivity, capital return, export potential, value added, and innovation-driven development. The textile industry plays a significant role in Uzbekistan’s economy by supporting employment, developing manufacturing capacity, increasing export revenues, and accelerating regional industrialization. Therefore, economic efficiency in this sector should not be assessed only through profit or production volume, but also through resource utilization, value-added output, production cost, labor productivity, technological renewal, and environmental sustainability.
