Abstract
This thesis analyzes the relevance of personal data protection in the digital age. Today, due to the widespread use of electronic services, social networks, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence technologies, the processes of collecting, storing, analyzing, and using personal data are becoming increasingly complex. On the one hand, these processes contribute to improving the quality of services; on the other hand, they give rise to a number of legal issues related to privacy, information security, and an individual’s right to control their own data. The thesis substantiates the importance of the principles of consent, transparency, purpose limitation, and accountability in the protection of personal data.
