Dynamics of Uzbekistan’s Foreign Trade Turnover from 2016 to 2025

Abstract

Based on the official annual data of the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the dynamics of foreign trade turnover during 2016–2025 were analyzed. The study identifies periods of growth, the decline observed in 2020, the post-pandemic recovery, and the record-breaking indicators achieved in 2025. The analysis demonstrates that over the ten-year period, foreign trade turnover increased by 3.36 times, while a persistent trade balance deficit remained. Average annual growth rates and changes in the geographical structure of trade are also examined.
