Abstract
Today, the digital economy has become an integral part of economic and social development. This article examines the impact of the digital economy on global and national labor markets, with particular attention to its role in ensuring youth employment in Uzbekistan. The reforms implemented within the framework of the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy, as well as the advantages of the gig economy and freelancing, are analyzed. In addition, recommendations are provided for developing young people's digital skills, expanding remote work opportunities, and increasing IT exports.
