Abstract
This study is devoted to observing germination of winter soft wheat varieties (Yaksart, Vassa, Ilgor, Tanya, Moskvich, Antonina) under various sucrose solution concentrations (1.4%, 4.4%, 7.4%, 10.5%, 16.6%) under laboratory conditions. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Modern Genetic Research, Institute of Biochemistry, Samarkand State University named after Sh. Rashidov. Germination rate, root length, fresh and dry weight of shoots and roots, and depression index were analyzed. The results showed differences in osmotic stress tolerance levels among the varieties.
