Abstract
The article highlights the agricultural importance of common millet (Panicum milliaceum L.) It covers the development of cultivation technology adapted to the biological characteristeristics of grain millet in the irrigated light gray-brown soil conditions of the Samarkand region. Under optimal sowing dates and rates, the growth and development of the millet plant are optimized, the grain yield is high, and the number of productive stalks and grains per panicle is determined. Information is provided on cultivation opportunities in Uzbekistan, as well as the impact of sowing dates and rates on the yield of double-cropped millet.
