Abstract
Plastic surgery is currently one of the leading areas in periodontology. The development of implantology, the use of osteoplastic materials, and the application of membranes for guided tissue regeneration have all contributed to the advancement of plastic periodontal surgery. The main objective of these procedures is to achieve favorable aesthetic outcomes and to prevent various periodontal tissue disorders that may occur in adult patients following orthopedic or orthodontic treatment and dental implantation.
