Abstract
This article analyzes the artistic interpretation of women’s psychology in contemporary Uzbek prose through the short stories of Salomat Vafo and Erkin A’zam. It explores psychological portrayal techniques, including internal monologue, psychological conflict, symbolic detail, and composition, as well as the relationship between female characters’ inner worlds and their sociocultural environment. Similarities and differences between the styles of the two writers are also examined.
