Abstract
This article analyzes the concept of emotional intelligence (EQ), its origin, scientists who studied it, its impact on students and methods for its development. Emotional intelligence is a person's ability to understand, manage and use their emotions in a positive direction. The article scientifically highlights the role of EQ in the educational process, its importance in increasing the effectiveness of communication, and its role as an auxiliary factor in overcoming stress and conflicts. It also provides psychological and pedagogical recommendations for the formation of emotional intelligence in students. The results of the study show that the development of EQ has a positive effect on the academic and personal achievements of students.
