Abstract
This article examines the representation of human appearance through somatic phraseological units in English and Uzbek. The study focuses on semantic, linguocultural and pragmatic features of phraseological units containing names of body parts. Particular attention is paid to the reflection of facial expressions, physical appearance and external characteristics of a person in both languages.
