Abstract

This article analyzes the fundamental methodological problems and their solutions in teaching the Uzbek language both as a native and a second language in the context of the global digital space. It substantiates the necessity of shifting away from traditional academic templates toward developing students' communicative and speech competencies. The study explores the integration of interdisciplinary learning, the implementation of digital textbooks, and the incorporation of corpus linguistics elements into the educational process. Furthermore, new criteria for assessing practical speech skills are proposed.
