Abstract

This scientific article comprehensively analyzes the legal foundations, medical mechanisms, international experience, advantages and disadvantages, as well as the ethical and legal issues related to chemical castration as a punishment used in combating sexual violence crimes against minors. The article examines the medical nature of temporarily suppressing sexual desire through antiandrogen medications, including their side effects and reversibility. International experience in countries such as the United States, South Korea, Poland, and Kazakhstan is analyzed with regard to the application, effectiveness, and limitations of this punishment.Furthermore, the study evaluates the legal possibilities and risks of introducing chemical castration from the perspective of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Criminal Code, and international human rights standards.
