Abstract

This scientific thesis highlights the fundamental role of thyroid hormones in regulating overall metabolism in the human body. The article analyzes the biochemical synthesis of thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), their mechanisms of action at the cellular level, and their roles in protein, lipid, and carbohydrate metabolism. In addition, statistical data related to iodine deficiency in Uzbekistan, the prevalence of thyroid disorders at both global and national levels, the clinical course of these diseases, and the prevention of pathological conditions caused by hormonal imbalance are discussed. The study also provides a scientific analysis of the role of thyroid hormones in maintaining energy metabolism and homeostasis.
