Abstract
This article analyzes the development of the foreign policy of the Bukhara Khanate (Emirate), its main directions, and its representation in local and foreign historical sources. The study examines diplomatic relations during the Shaybanid, Ashtarkhanid and Manghit periods, relations with neighboring states, and political changes caused by the expansion of the Russian Empire into Central Asia. The works of local historians such as Ahmad Donish, Muhammad Vafo Karmanagi, Mirzo Abdulazim Somi and Hafiz Tanish Bukhari, as well as Russian and European travelers and orientalists, are comparatively analyzed. The research concludes that the foreign policy of the Bukhara Khanate was closely connected with domestic political conditions, economic interests and the international situation.
