Abstract

The article analyzes the mechanisms underlying the development of psychological syndromes arising from psychological trauma, their main clinical manifestations, and diagnostic methods. In modern clinical psychology, the consequences of trauma are examined through the lens of the biopsychosocial approach, while the neuropsychological foundations of post-traumatic disorders are supported by scientific evidence. The study focuses on the criteria for identifying post-traumatic stress disorder, acute stress reaction, dissociative syndromes, and comorbid psychopathological conditions. The application of international diagnostic standards and psychometric assessment tools, as well as their practical significance, is also highlighted.
