Abstract

This article analyzes the central theme of the works of the prominent Uzbek writer O‘tkir Hoshimov—the image of the mother, her devotion, and its lyrical interpretation. Using the examples of the novella “Dunyoning ishlari” (The Affairs of the World) and the novels “Ikki eshik orasi” (Between Two Doors) and “Tushda kechgan umrlar” (Lives Passed in Dreams), the study highlights the unique and sincere portrayal of motherhood, the resilience of mothers during wartime, and their boundless love for their children. The author's skill in depicting mothers not as idealized figures but as ordinary, forgiving, and authentic individuals through a simple and folk-oriented language is emphasized. The article also discusses the educational significance and influence of these works on the younger generation.
