Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of the genre, poetic, compositional, and ideological characteristics of Uzbek and Karakalpak folk epics. In the oral traditions of both peoples, the traditions of epic poetry, schools of storytelling, the image of an epic hero, and the harmony of historical and mythological layers are highlighted. It also reveals national mentality, aesthetic ideals, and social values through the example of famous epics.
