This scientific article comprehensively discusses the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment methods, and prevention of rheumatic heart disease. Rheumatic heart disease is a systemic inflammatory disorder that usually develops after an infection caused by Group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus and leads to damage of the heart valves. The article scientifically analyzes the prevalence of the disease among children and adolescents, its complications, as well as the importance of early diagnosis and prevention. The results of the study indicate that timely treatment of streptococcal infections and regular medical follow-up are important factors in preventing rheumatic heart disease.
