Abstract

This article examines the psychological foundations of critical thinking development. It analyzes the essence of critical thinking, its cognitive and metacognitive mechanisms, and its relationship with emotional and social factors. The study also highlights effective methods for fostering critical thinking in the educational process and its significance in the modern information environment. The findings indicate that critical thinking plays a crucial role in an individual’s intellectual development and requires a comprehensive approach for its enhancement.
