Abstract

This article describes the essence of mathematical modeling, its scientific and practical significance, and the ways of representing real processes through mathematical methods. By means of mathematical models, the possibilities of analyzing, forecasting, and managing natural, technical, economic, and social processes are considered. In addition, information is provided about the stages and main methods of mathematical modeling.
