Abstract
Climate change is one of the most serious global challenges of the modern era, significantly affecting environmental security, sustainable socio-economic development, and the realization of human environmental rights. This article examines the international legal framework for climate change regulation established within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol, and the Paris Agreement, as well as analyzes the specific features of their implementation in the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study considers the current directions of national climate policy, the existing regulatory and legal framework, and the challenges associated with fulfilling international climate commitments. Based on the results of the research, proposals have been developed aimed at improving national legislation in the field of climate change, taking into account international standards and the Sustainable Development Goals [1–12].
