Abstract
In managing an educational institution, alongside a leader's professional capacity, their moral and ethical qualities are an important factor in management effectiveness. This article analyzes the moral and ethical qualities of a leader—honesty, justice, responsibility, humaneness, and being a role model—and their impact on educational management. Drawing on the theories of ethical leadership and servant leadership, it reveals how a leader's ethics affect team trust, organizational culture, and the quality of education. The article also considers the role of Eastern spirituality and national values in shaping a leader's ethics. Based on qualitative-theoretical analysis, it develops practical recommendations for forming and strengthening moral and ethical qualities in educational leaders. The findings are of practical relevance for the cultivation of leadership cadres in the education system of Uzbekistan.
