Abstract
This article looks at the historical stages of the development of the logic of norms in the 17th–18th centuries in Western Europe. It covers the period of philosophical logical views connecting evaluations with logical modes like 'good,' 'bad,' or 'indifferent,' and also analyzes their social nature. Additionally, the article examines the emergence of deontic logic as a separate field from the mid-20th century and the study of the logic of norms on a scientific basis. The article also discusses the concepts of necessity, possibility, and contingency as logical categories in modal reasoning.
